Can i connect 7i29 to P4 connector on 5i20??

Thank you, but i would like to keep my system with standard software - to be able to upgrade or reinstall EMC in case of HDD destruction.

Another problem - i'm trying to configure 7i47S connected to P3, but it have absolutely different pin types!!!

Is it possible to change software pinout in this case?

Sure but it requires a custom firmware

if you can say which daughtercard you prefer on each connector
I can make a matching configuration

My present configuration:

5i20 with 3 flat cables connecting:
P2 -> 7i29+7i29 (4axis)
P3 -> 7i47S (spindle+handwheel+automatics)
P4 -> 7i37TA (automatics)

But it will be better if you can make firmware for configuration like in my first post:
(because of better flat cables tracing)

I think the reason the pins don;t match is because you (said you) are using firmware SVST8_4
when SVST2_4_7i47 is for the 7i47.

I try to put this files to /lib/firmware/hm2/5i20/
but pncconf cant see them..

Until pncconf learns to read installed bitfiles, you can not use pncconf for custom bitfiles
you must get your hands dirty and edit the HAL and INI files yourself

But in this case i have to ask you again to change P2<->P4 back... (sorry )

Because now i have to write all pins for P2,3,4 by my "dirty hands" - and probably i make a lot of errors.

And if only difference will be in P3 - it will increase my chances, and common part of configuring i can make in pncconf (before editing by hands).
