Hi!
I almost wear out native lubrication of my tiny machine. The machine was selled without any additional lubricant. It uses typical M10x1 pre-threaded rods. But when i try to apply typical general-purpose consistent grease like Lythol (lithium soap based), i notice that my thread become bare after few caret movements.
Native lubricant was "sticky" and does not remove after many caret movements.
So the question is, what is special sticky type of grease for thread shaft lubrication, and where to obtain it? I found nothing special on Ebay...
Thanks :-)

Hi

Have you tried a non-fling synthetic open gear oil/grease?

I use a Molyslip spray grease (LQG I think) on my change gears on the manual lathe and it works fine.
Lasts a long time.

Might not be suited for a dusty workspace though, pretty sticky stuff.

regards

Thank you, i find something but not LQG exactly,
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Molyslip-OGL-Open-gear-lubericant-grease-450-gram-tub-/120598303270?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c14381226
But it looks too heavy for my tiny step motors... I also found other lube http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dow-Corning-1122-Chain-Open-Gear-Grease-Sealed-14oz-/200463637106?pt=Pneumatic_Hydraulic_Valves_Parts&hash=item2eac905a72 maybe this is suitable...
I also suddenly notice that bike chain also uses sticky grease and it looks and feels very close to native lubricant of my machine.
I will try both.
