Thought it would be good to start a new thread on this motherboard. I am happy to report that I have this system fully functional. The latency test show very good numbers. The latency test does seem to be somewhat variable. If you reset it and wait a few minutes, the numbers can vary quite a bit but they are all good. I have the computer mounted on the back of a monitor. I used a mini -ITX case with no fan. I am running a Sherline mill with steppers. I am using 1/8 micro stepping and everything came up and seems to be working fine without even any tuning of parameters. All in all very pleased with the cleanliness of this whole setup !!:

Cool, do you have any photos of the setup?

You can attach one image to each message and when you hover over the Browse... button it tells you the limits in the line above the message area.

Wish I'd discovered the mini -ITX case sooner. Looks like exactly what the doctor ordered for the cabinet on my Bridgeport.

Anyone know the secret handshake for increasing the screen sleep time on this motherboard?

Every time I get a program running and get engrossed in it, I look up and the screen is in sleep mode, and I have to enter the password to get access again. Thank goodness this only affect the video, and not the motions.

Have you tried...

System

Preferences

Screen saver

Look at the check box for activate screen saver....

Also

Look at the power management section there.

No, haven't tried that. Seems like when I have that particular computer running I'm always pressed for time, and the ergonomics surrounding it aren't good for just browsing around.

But I'll try it in a few minutes.

Thanks
