I have 2 motors that control my gantry, and figure I could just set 2 sets of outputs to be X-axis step/direction, but they both wont work. How can I do this?
Thanks,
CP

See http://www.linuxcnc.org/docs/html/man/man9/gantrykins.9.html

There are also some gantry sample configs in the config picker.

If you are not using a separate home switch for the two x drives you can just use an xyz setup up and slave the second x drive to the first.

With Stepconf you can duplicate the X step and X direction pins to an extra set of I/O pins to your 2nd drive.
You may need to invert the direction signal on one depending on the hardware.

You could also edit your hal file to send the step and direction signals to the two sets of output pins.
