Hello

Now I've got my machine to run, but the settings are not right in stepconf wizard. It is a plasma cutter which version linuxcnc. should I use. Are there any who can help with my setup. I am beginner in cnc.

LinuxCNC 2.5 from the LiveCD will work with most machines.

We are all here to help... you just have to ask a question to speed up the process.

Which pulses / rev setting should I set my drivers.

The pulses per rev depend on your gearing. If your from Denmark I assume your working in millimeters then one user unit is a mm. You need to determine how many pulses it takes to move the axis one mm. If you tell us what drivers and gear ratios you have we can help.

BTW, I enjoyed my visits to Denmark some years ago to Middelfart to visit the Enkotec factory.

Here's what I bought
PM542 Micro Stepping Driver
ZP5A-INT 5 axis breakout board
SPS407 Power supplies 42V
SY60STH88-3008BF High Torque three stack Nema 23, 1.8 degree hybrid stepper motor

I bought a machine from a flower company where there were many of the parts I needed.

My machine runs with Belts and pulleys on the X axis, Y axis and Z axis
Z axis also runs with spindle

X axis of the motor is a T5 25 tooth to a T5 48 teeth on the shaft.
shaft goes forward it to two T10 25 teeth that pull the sled

Y axis of the motor is a 25 tooth T10 to a T10 25 tooth

Z axis of the motor is a T5 15 tooth to a T5 25 teeth on the spindle. The spindle has an increase of 2 millimeters per revolution

In the cnc Linux, I can see there are several different programs depending on what kind of machine you have. Mine is indeed a plasma cutter, but the only program I can get to work, it is stepconf wizard creates.

I googled the manual on your drive and it has many options for micro stepping. I'll use 2 microsteps for my example.

If you go to the X Axis Configuration page in the stepconf wizard you would enter

Motor Steps per revolution: 200
Driver Microstepping: 2
Pullet Teeth (Motor:Leadscrew) 25 : 48
Leadscrew Pitch ??? revolutions per mm

You gave the Z axis Leadscrew Pitch of 0.5 revolutions per mm so you need to figure out X and Y.
