Hi All

I have not yet my CNC-machine, but i have succesfully installed liveCD with EMC2, run the latency-test (max 15212) but nothing else i have done yet.

I have received USOVO_MF70_step.conf file (XML) and also the following configurations files for my machine:

custom.hal
custom-postgui.hal
emc.nml
emc.var
proxxon-mf70.hal
proxxon-mf70.ini
readme
tool.tbl

My questions are

1) where to i but all these files?
2) i think i do not have to run the stepconf-wizzard, do i?
3) which are the next steps i have to do? Can i test this configurations wihtout a CNC-machine?

Thank you very much
Greetings
Andy

The easy way is to run EMC from the menu and save a sim config. This will create the directories needed.

Add a directory to the configs directory for your files.

Create a desktop shortcut and point to your ini file, before saving in front of the /home... add emc and a space like this emc /home...
