halui incremental jog

halui incremental jog was created by Rick G
On 2.6 pre

When I enter

setp halui.jog.0.increment 0.1
setp halui.jog.0.increment-plus 1

In the test hal command area they are accepted and I can see the pins change.

I would expect one incremental jog of 0.1

However on Axis I see no results, am I missing something?

In Axis are you in manual mode?

Yes.
Just for fun I also tried MDI.

The other jog pins seem to work as expected in manual mode but not the above.

Rick,

Did you set the increment-plus back to 0? Maybe it needs the on to off transition... just an early morning SWAG.

Morning John,

Yes, I believe it does need the transition. I toggled it back and forth, also tried a oneshot.

Turns out you need to set halui.jog-speed first to make this work.

Thanks to John for sorting this out.
