Usually, I don't use AXIS during milling, I'm fine with the TK interface.
But sometimes, I still use it on a remote system with the CNC machine turned off,
only to check some paths, etc...

In the past years, nothing else but a DISPLAY export was necessary, though
I usually used ssh -X...

This still works fine for the TK and MINI interface, but AXIS, as of LinuxCNC 2.5.x,
refuses to cooperate ("bad window").

Is this related to any hardware, Open-GL access?
How can I make this work again?

Thanks for any hint on this...

Hi

I just tried ssh -X This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it and was able to run Axis and Linuxcnc 2.5 on a remote machine

You will have to post the full error message, it is an X server error rather than Linuxcnc, seems most likely one of your machines has a problem with openGL.

Have you enabled -X and -Y in /etc/ssh/sshd.config so that it line reads X11Forwarding yes?
Assume must have if you tried other GUIs
