please be specific on any error shown , and where possible please state which version and OS you are using
and attach your hal configuration as an attachment will help

but the common problems are ., Estop not connected, this is required to be a normaly closed switch , stepper enable is required.

From here...

www.linuxcnc.org/hardy/docs/html/config/stepconf.html

Test this axis is a basic tester that only outputs step and direction signals to try different values for acceleration and velocity.
Important
In order to use test this axis you have to manually enable the axis if this is required. If your driver has a charge pump you will have to bypass it. Test this axis does not react to limit switch inputs. Use with caution.

In stepconfig you want to look at

Amplifier enable

.

You could also complete the Stepconfig without testing the motors and see if your configuration works.

John can also translate your Mach configuration to a Linuxcnc configuration.

O.K.

You need to run the Latency test, then use those numbers to run Stepconf.

Application,
CNC,
Latency Test

Also post the results of your latency test.

in your screenshot you show error ... this must be fixed before anything else ..
this error will stop motor from running

you need to run latency test and post your answer
