yes it is. could it maybe have something to do with the videocard or the driver the pc is an old compaq/hp evo n610 c from about 2003. the videocard is from ati

I am running on a machine older than that, though it was a rather high-spec one at the time.

But, I also have the same problem just now on a brand-new computer. Though it is rather an odd one (Vortex CPU)

On this machine I am going to try the 8.04 Ubuntu LiveCD then upgrade the LinuxCNC

Now we have the laptop situation under control :)

When i have done the stepcon config. what do i do to get it started in the plasma program. and which plasma program should i choose
