I have had good results with SheetCAM. I am not clear if you are meant to pay for the Linux version or not:

It doesn't matter as long as I can use it on Windows and transfer it to Linux.
I used a CAM software already and it did not work. Maybe I did something wrong?
It didn't generate every line, and whatever it did do, I didn't get that to convert to G-Code.

I used Pycam.

Well, the demo version of SheetCAM is limited, but the Linux version doesn't seem to be.
It has a LinuxCNC post. (In fact, Les is frequently seen about these parts)

I compressed it to zip using winrar and tried opening it on another computer with winrar installed and it worked fine on Windows.

Maybe you can try to install winrar real quick or I can upload the files to a website (idk which one though) that you can download from.
