ive got a d525 board on the way and messa 5i20 my question is does the messa do the servo control or does the emc do it as host servo control? if its done on the messa are the latency time not that important anymore ?

A 5i20 only needs the servo thread and the fast stuff is done on the board... you still can't have horrible latency but in the same breath you don't need extremely good latency either.

What is a d525 board?

So what is your latency?
