I am new to the world of barcode labels and need some advice and suggestions on which barcode label printer to go for? I have already been told that the Printronix and the Zebra range are very good but would like a bit more input.

What are you using the barcodes for? Are you barcoding parts prior to machining them with an EMC2 controlled mill or lathe? That sounds like a cool application.
We've talked about barcoding parts at work before and I think it would save a lot of time.

if thats the case (barcoding before machining), wouldnt it be even cooler to just have emc laser etch a barcode during the machining cycle.
