Well, it definitely works . Just ran engraving sample from HP-DL format and router did it just fine(XP based PC). Yet what i really want to know is what kind of motor it has and will i be able to run it from EMC.

Pop the cover off the Z and take a close up photo. There are some steppers with encoder feedback but not usually. If the axis feels like it has cogs when you turn it by hand it might be a stepper, if it feels smooth when you turn it by hand then it is a servo. If it is a servo and has brushes (plastic screw caps around one end) it is a DC servo AFAIK.

Knowing your drives and motors work is a huge plus.

And another strange feature of this router,it only does upper right corner of whatever HP-GL file you send. Looking through user manual and setting new zero didn't help. I guess the answer in plain sight,yet i do not know it.
