I have a problem with the 2.5 version of linux cnc. i've installed from iso and don't start at all.
I've attaches the error repot to thread. My laptop is an acer travelmate 290 if help with something.

"Local APIC disabled by BIOS -- you can enable it with "lapic"
and

You should only run the pure simulator on your laptop! Due to hardware power saving on laptops it is not recommended that you try and run a machine from a laptop. But if your brave and determined I've heard tell of at least one person that was able to run a machine on a laptop with the real time kernel after sinking a ton of time at the task.
